Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations

Image
Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of purpose by the B.Ed students in our institution. The programme was thoughtfully organized to remember the values of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and service that Gandhiji stood for. As part of the celebrations, a quiz competition was conducted focusing on the life, ideals, and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi to the Indian freedom struggle. The competition witnessed active participation from students, who eagerly answered questions and showcased their knowledge. The quiz created an engaging learning atmosphere and helped students gain deeper insights into Gandhiji’s philosophy and vision for the nation. Adding a cultural and traditional touch to the event, a kappa (tapioca) cooking activity was also organized. This activity symbolized Gandhiji’s belief in simple living and respect for indigenous food habits. Students actively participated in the cooking pro...

YOGA PROGRAMME

Image
In the midst of lesson plans, internships, assignments, and deadlines, taking time to pause often feels like a luxury. It was with this thought in mind that B.Ed students came together to organize a yoga class—an initiative aimed at restoring balance between body and mind. The session began in the calm hours of the morning, setting a peaceful tone for the day. As participants gathered, the atmosphere itself felt different—quieter, lighter, and more focused. The class opened with a brief prayer, followed by a short introduction on the significance of yoga in daily life, especially for future educators. B.Ed students led the session with confidence, demonstrating simple warm-up exercises to prepare the body. This was followed by a series of yoga asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Padahastasana, and Bhujangasana. Each posture was explained clearly, highlighting not just the physical benefits but also the mental calm that yoga brings. The pranayama session became a turning point of the ...

Social Science Assembly

Image
Hiroshima Day Assembly by Social Science Students As a social science student, I was really happy to be part of our department’s assembly held on Hiroshima Day. The whole programme was planned and presented by our social science group, and it turned out to be such a meaningful experience for all of us. The assembly started with a peaceful prayer, followed by news reading and the thought of the day. These small moments set a calm and thoughtful mood for the programme. The highlight of the day was definitely our flash mob, which we performed as a tribute to Hiroshima Day. It was our way of spreading the message of peace and reminding everyone about the value of humanity. The energy, the music, and the message together made it really special. We also had a quiz related to Hiroshima, which was super fun and informative. Many of our student teachers took part actively, showing great excitement and team spirit. It was nice to see everyone so engaged and interested in learning more about hist...
