YOGA PROGRAMME
In the midst of lesson plans, internships, assignments, and deadlines, taking time to pause often feels like a luxury. It was with this thought in mind that B.Ed students came together to organize a yoga class—an initiative aimed at restoring balance between body and mind.
The session began in the calm hours of the morning, setting a peaceful tone for the day. As participants gathered, the atmosphere itself felt different—quieter, lighter, and more focused. The class opened with a brief prayer, followed by a short introduction on the significance of yoga in daily life, especially for future educators.
B.Ed students led the session with confidence, demonstrating simple warm-up exercises to prepare the body. This was followed by a series of yoga asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Padahastasana, and Bhujangasana. Each posture was explained clearly, highlighting not just the physical benefits but also the mental calm that yoga brings.
The pranayama session became a turning point of the class. Practices like Anulom–Vilom and Bhramari helped participants slow down their breathing and turn inward. In those few quiet moments, stress seemed to fade, replaced by a sense of clarity and relaxation. A short meditation session concluded the practice, leaving everyone refreshed and centered.
